    Welcome to Woodlawn! I am so excited to be your child's teacher this year. I have been teaching for twenty five years. Nineteen of these years have been right here at Woodlawn!

    My name is Mrs. Cresent and I am a Multi-grade Special Education teacher. I have taught school for approximately 37 years. This is my 11th year teaching in Fairfax County at Woodlawn Elementary School. I attended Radford University where I earned a degree in Health & Physical Education. I earned an endorsement in Special Education through UVA. I have been married for 34 years and have three children.

    I am grateful to be your child's third grade teacher. I've been teaching for twenty wonderful years. As a teacher, it is always a pleasure to witness students grow academically and socially emotionally. Our students are like fingerprints, there are no two a like, yet hold a special purpose in this world.

    Mrs. Mondragon is a native Texan and has lived on the East Coast since 2002 and considers Northern Virginia home. 

    She is an experienced Assistant Principal and Special Educator with over fifteen years of experience in diverse schools and school systems. Her expertise in special education includes early childhood, elementary and high school students, inclusive, and self-contained settings. She is certified in Elementary Education PreK-6, Administration and Supervision, Emotional Disabilities, Intellectual Disabilities and Specific Learning Disabilities. 

    Additionally, she has provided leadership in grade level and school wide leadership including three years as the Assistant Principal of Mount Vernon Community School in the Alexandria City Public Schools.

    During her time off, Mrs. Mondragon loves watching sporting events, baking and planning family vacations.
